Just about 2.75 yrs old
Some recent Liam developments include:
He had another verbal explosion about two weeks ago. He repeats and 'tries' many more words now. He is using some two word phrases ("That way" is a current favorite) and tells a 'story' via one-word nouns.
Mommy | Mimi | Van | Fries
That means that he thinks that Mommy and Grammy left in the van and they are going to procure french fries. We were actually going thrift shopping, but you get the drift. Or
Eye | Car | That way!
Isaac has stolen the car and I think he went that way! (i.e. Isaac has borrowed the car)
He has also started asking what a particular sound is by saying, "Sound?" over and over until we address the sound at hand. He loves the sound of a motorcycle and always ends it with "Bike! Loud! hahahaha!"
He is getting some of the emotional YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG of the three-year-old year. Things must be very predictable - his drink needs to be EXACTLY where he set it down. Any drink without a lid MUST have a straw. Deviations will not be tolerated. It's actually still pretty mild and he is distracted sometimes, but I know it is coming.
He PEED ON THE POTTY yesterday and again today. He got a skittle, which he calls a 'can-can' (candy). We are getting yogurt raisins though, because can-can has a whole lot of food dye.
He is 35 lbs. Someone at the park asked he if he was 3 or 4. ugh.
He and Lyric still fight more than play. The both delight in making the other furious. That is pretty much Lyric's regular personality with other people, but Liam mainly only does it with Lyric. He adores the enormous response that the poor girl gives.
Some times he calls out for "sissy" in his sleep.
He has a renewed love for trains. Namely, Chuggington. He's not a hard-core Thomas man.
He still drinks some milk - he wants everything to be juice. We mix his juice w/ 80% water. Only grape - still gets a rash w/ apple. He loves eggs. He loves YoBaby yogurt. He loves the 'cupcakes' (popsicles) we make with smoothies.
He doesn't gallop quite so much anymore. He has a million bruises on his shins. He finished Time for Toddlers with Mrs. Burns last week. He was just starting to get the hang of it all.
Going to bed at 8 p.m. and up between 6 and 7 a.m. Typically more around 6.
