Things about Liam at 2.5: In the last ten days, he's starting talking *much* more. Repeating (or trying to repeat) most things you are saying (whereas before, he would NOT try) and actually communicating. It's been great. AND hard. Like when he is saying something that you don't understand. Frustrating for both parties.
He is less interesting in choo-choos (still won't say 'train'), but still loves cars. His favorite t.v. program is Diego; he calls him "D". In fact, any word that he cannot say, he replaces it with "Dee". He still won't let you read him a book, but he will sit and look for things in the Richard Scarry books.
He's been a bit kinder to the pets, well, when he isn't sick.
He *cannot* share with Lyric - at all. We told her that maybe by the summer, he will be more of a playmate and less of a pest. He does still love her, but she cannot touch his stuff.
He's been sitting on the potty some, but no results. I think he is slowly starting to get the idea, but it will be months I'm sure.
When he is in any discomfort, he screams "EAT!" - like that will solve things (ha! common to a lot of us!). He is great at saying goodbye when people leave; sometimes we thing he will melt-down but he never does.
He now says "Tank you" anytime you hand him anything; even during the middle of the night.
He refers to himself as "Baby". For instance, he steals his Mamma's drink and when she tells him that it's hers, he says, "NO Mamma! Mine! Baby's!"
